What is it
A Protein smoothie is a smoothie full of protein. It is very normal that it consists out of 20 grams of protein per glass. Protein smoothies are not only very easy to make, they are also an easy source of protein. Like I told you in our blog about High Protein Food, this macronutrient is essentail to build and maintain muscle. In this blog I will tell you how to create the best smoothie. Protein smoothie base
When creating this recipe it is important to have a source of protein as your base. This can be (vegan) protein powder, greek yoghurt or quark.
Fruits can add a lot of flavour to your smoothie. It is not only super delicious but also fills you up for the next few hours. Very convenient for breakfast or lunch.
High Protein Strawberry Smoothie
- 60 grams frozen strawberries
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 80 grams yoghurt
- Put everything in a blender and mix.
