How to incorporate sport into your daily life?

You may think it’s hard to reconcile a healthy, sporty life with a job that sucks all your energy away? When you get home from work, there’s nothing better than slumping down on the sofa with a good beer or glass of wine, watching whatever programme on TV or series on Netflix will make you decompress and forget your worries and the stress of the day…

Think outside the box! In the long run, your body and mind don’t benefit from this relaxing moment, so you need to take care of yourself by moving! All the doctors have advised you, and can now prescribe it: physical exercise is definitely good for your health. Did you know that 30 minutes a day is enough to regulate the happiness hormones for a mind of steel, ready to face the day and all the stresses of daily life?

Daily exercises are good for your health

Doing sport causes us to secrete 3 types of hormones that are essential to our mental and physical hygiene.

1) Endorphins

Endorphins help to drive away bad spirits and thoughts of depression or sadness. They lead to a feeling of euphoria and well-being with one’s surroundings.

2) Dopamine

It is known to reduce feelings of fatigue, leading to pleasure and concentration. This hormone is also secreted during sexual intercourse, as well as during good sports activity, making physical exercise addictive!

3) Adrenaline

The most important hormone for sports performance. It will help you to manage stress and exceed your limits during heavy physical efforts! In the long run, this hormone will therefore help you to improve your performance.

4) Noradrenaline

It is without doubt the one that we are most interested in producing if we want to lose weight, because it is the one that will draw on the fat cells to find energy, and therefore destock them!

After the effort, you will feel tired, but this is called good fatigue, because with the body having worked with the heart, you will have a feeling of well-being and freshness, having eliminated all the toxins and bad energy and tension accumulated in your body and mind.

Which sports to practice and when?

Between professional and private life, it is not always easy to add time for oneself and have the energy to do so.

However, sport is also a way to strengthen social ties, with colleagues or loved ones. So take the opportunity to exercise to build friendships with your colleagues or even your boss by joining company clubs or creating your own team to get together outside of office hours or even on your lunch break.

Similarly with your family or friends, this is a way to catch up by catching up over a ball, in the park or on the way to the gym. Once you’ve relaxed after your workout, it will be even more enjoyable to finish your session, all smiles, with people you’ll appreciate even more.

Integrate sport at work

Lack of motivation or too tired? You can even stay active from your desk chair at work or even from your sofa with simple yoga exercises. Yoga is not just for Buddhists seeking meditation, it is a sport in its own right that will help you relax and soften your muscles to strengthen your efforts and avoid soreness.

Before or after a good sports session, when you wake up or go to bed, or simply for a 5 minute break, don’t hesitate to open your lungs and oxygenate your body with breathing and stretching exercises.

Physical activity is not just about athletic performance and sweating your body. It helps you to strengthen your mental and physical health.

It is therefore easy to include it in our daily sport routine without even thinking about it too much. Motivation is the key to regular activity, but you also need to think outside the box.

For example, the next time you’re about to take the lift, try taking the stairs, or walking or cycling to work to clear your head before you lock yourself in for the day.

Our planners' apps

You can also track your daily activity with one of his planners’ applications, which will show you an improvement in your heart health over time if you adopt all these little reflexes.
